This all rings so true with me...somehow my music has gradually been pushed to one side over the years and my cello is accumulating dust. But we are surrounded by music all the time, even all the cheesy classics that I once turned my nose up at and now can't get enough of! One day my cello will come out for more than just half an hour in six months but I know it will happen and I'm not going to stress about it - far more important is what i have learnt and expereinced thus far through my music and I hope that Finn gets to experience the same joy and friendships that my music has brought me over the years. I have three friends in the orchestra and one in the choir which I'm sure makes me biased, but I love the enthusiasm with which Tafelmusik plays. Too often I have seen concerts where the orchestra members look as though they wished they were somewhere else. I also loved the choral works, very much. We were sitting in the first balcony, right beside the choir and the sound was all around us. The Mendelssohn and the Brahms were beautiful, but the Arvo Pärt brought me to tears (in a good way!), but as Ruth says, even puppies make me cry, so that might not mean much. Thanks for reading.Barbara Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17156836937753843496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175105460094394722.post-61265257179445581772011-04-10T12:20:16.964-04:002011-04-10T12:20:16.964-04:00We saw the same concert last night! I was blown away by those three short numbers before intermission.<br />What an amazing experience for you!Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01681732058311386672noreply@blogger.com
